How do group proposals work?

I sent one around to my group tonight with the default values... simple majority, quorum that's full group (that one was probably a bad idea) and 7 day wait.

But there doesn't seem to be any way to view the results in progress of the poll. Do I have to wait out 7 days before I can see how voting is going?

Also, a friend made a test group to see how it works, and when the quorum was reached the proposal just flat out vanished, not even sent to the history. Is there a bug going on?

Just wanna make sure this thing is gonna work... and if not, how do I send around a proposal that will?

If things are working in group people should be able to vote and at set time i.e at end of period you set like week or three weeks down the road you will get message about whether or not the proposal passed, fail and how many voted.
Personally I found it pretty useless feature because none of the members seemed like they cared about voting,etc.
