Hi everyone I hope someone can help me, I am from the UK and I have just age verified this account and it worked fine, went onto SL and I am not allowed to search for adult items in the search, so I then added my debit card details and still not allowed to search for adult items, so next step, buy some $L, still not allowed, so next step, spend some $L and still unable to search for adult items. My main account only has my card detail on it and i do spend quite a lot of $L each month on it. I have some other friends from the UK that have the same problem so can anyone tell me what i can do so as to be able to use the adult search and to go to the adult sims, or are LL going to be excluding people from the UK.
Thank you Midnights

Are you using the release candidate viewer? If so you have to go into edit and then preferences and choose PG,Mature and Adult there and then you have to make sure all the checkboxes are ticked in search.

I hope the original poster will provide a progress update. Ciaran's instructions should always work for the Release Candidate viewer, and it would be very important to know the details if that isn't working.
Using the standard release viewer, one should still be able to get to Adult land--right now the sole instance of which is the Arapaima infohub--as long as the account has either age verification or payment info on file. (As far as I can tell, the standard release viewer currently allows Adult content search regardless of whether the account has either form of adult verification.)

Unless like me you've been playing with the release candidate viewer and changed your settings, they stick for the regular viewer too.

When you say the settings stick, do you mean you set them once and don't have to re do them next log on. I can't get any to stick, I have to reset everything in preferences each log on.

From: Midnights Matahari Hi everyone I hope someone can help me, I am from the UK and I have just age verified this account and it worked fine Out of curiosity, what did you use to age verify? Because no outside agency should legally have access to the standard items that Linden Lab require for age verification, viz. passport number, driving license number, social security (ie: National Insurance) number, for UK citizens. I realise the current government here is very good at losing the private data of millions of its citizens, but there is no legal way for any verification company to check whether your National Insurance number is valid, since they legally have no access to the databases where such items are kept. For example, from the HM Revenue & Customs site about National Insurance (equivalent to SSN in the US) numbers: From: http://www.hmrc.gov.uk/nic/your-nino.htm Keep your number safe and do not disclose it to anyone who does not need it. Remember, its purpose is only to record National Insurance contributions and credits you have paid or are entitled to, which will help decide how much benefit you will receive. And broader info here: From: http://www.hmrc.gov.uk/nic/ni-numbers.htm It is not proof of your identity and it looks something like this: AB123456C. (This National Insurance number is only an example and should not be used as your own number) Sure, you could take the complex route and scan your birth certificate and email that and a scan of a current utility bill showing your address to Linden Lab. But that's taking a pretty big risk WRT identity theft.

From: Dekka Raymaker What's your view on using expired passport numbers? Of dead people, or one's own passport that is no longer valid? Either way, I wouldn't do it.

For money it's best to get a debt card for the net and only keep a small amount in it.
Once one person has a debt card or has age verified, let real life friends/family use the same ID and debt card, it's least amount of info upline as possible.
