TRAPPED - advice please !

Hi all. Every time i log in, after a few minutes, my screen shows only weird colours and stripes around my character, and the sound is disturbed. I'm pretty sure it's a trap - weapon of some sort. One of those you can buy in SL and do all sorts of things with avatars. The problem is, I have tried changing location, because most weapons work when you can rez objects as in a battlezone or sandbox. Strangely enough this trap works in EVERY SIM. Even in my home location. Since I have no idea who this user who is having a lot of fun by now, could be, I can't mute anyone, since there is no suspect ! Can anyone tell me what I can do to stop this annoying trap ? I have rebooted dozens of times and every time in another location yet nothing I can do for now...

Can you get a screenshot when it happens, or is the viewer too wedged for that?

The description sounds more like a graphics card problem--possibly overheating, or one of the driver glitches that require a different driver version or different graphics settings or magic incantations (turning off palettized textures, for nVidia).

If it might be a graphics card thing, it would likely help to post your configuration (from Help / "About Second Life...".

Possibly "Show updates" turned on. ctrl-alt-shift-u

I did press that. For the moment I don't see it yet, could it be because i was running other heavy programms I hope. Because I did see traps I would be glad if it's not that.
