Can Prims Hide?

The box outside my rental home says I have 186 prims in it. My count puts it at 150. I may be off a couple, but not 36...

Thirty-six prims would let me get that grand piano my bay window screams for....

Can prims hide?

Thanks, clever people....

Yes prims can hide. Some could be invisible, others could be hiding inside of walls and such or even got tossed into the sky. Took me forever to track down some of mine once.

One way to try and find them is to click 'Select only my objects' from the Tools menu and then invoke the build window and just start drawing rectangles around stuff to see if anything gets outlined in white that you are not expecting. Also, View Transparency will show the invisible stuff.

Sure can as Lil said.

The other day, I happened to cam down under my house, by accident and found my Anima Ladybug hanging out there! I totally forgot I even owned the thing :)

You can also lose prims on your parcel because of a fault with the sim - AKA "ghost prims", they get left behind sometimes when they fail to rez, and you can't delete them. You may need to restart the sim - or ask LL to do a restart.

Oh my God! Apparently every prim box I have ever rezzed in my life has been floating on my ceiling since who knows when! ~Weird~

Here's the next problem---two invisible laptops, a rectangular thingy and a poseball won't let me do anything but 'Return' them, and when I do, I get a pop up that says "Removal of object "Object" from the simulator is disallowed by the permissions system". How do I get rid of them?

(I can almost taste my grand piano!)

Does the stuff floating above my house count if it's not in my name?

They possibly belonged to previous tenant if you can't do anything with them. If you contact the sim owner, they should be able to return them for you. A friend of mine found one of these invisible keyboards in her place and had to do that.
