I am trying to register my freind an account and i keep getting this error, i have entered the code in correctly but its not working in either internet explorer or firefox
The following must be corrected before continuing:
Your Second Life account could not be created at this time. Please try again in a few minutes.
You must enter a code to match the new image each time you submit this form.

You must enter a code to match the new image each time you submit this form. There's currently a thread about people not being able to log in and those that do get in say it's seriously borked. Probably affecting your ability to create an account for your friend. Might be better to wait til later or possibly tomorrow. Edit: I just caught the part that you've been trying for 4 weeks. I have no idea then.

Have you tried selecting one of the alternative welcome portals during the sign-up process? You're forwarded to a different (third party) site to complete the sign up process, so you might have more luck.

Check which Internet browser you´re using? Some don't support capthas and similar things

not to be a naysayer but would hate for you to get in trouble with SL
would creating an account for someone else, be the same as sharing a password, which is against the TOS?
why doesn't your friend create it himself (or at least try to)
Again I am not being mean or attacking, had enough of that, seriously trying to be helpful
as to why it will not work, no clue, as I have not tried. Should not be due to having an account, cuz ppl do make alts.

yeah it sounds like the browser isn't supporting the captcha thingy (hate captcha). Try another computer or something. Sounds to me that the code is wrong when entering.
Also yes I would get the friend to make their own account its safer in many respects as even sharing passwords with friends can backfire over time.

the i got the 'email already in use' error.
i thought we were _supposed_ to use the same email addy for alts.

i thought we were _supposed_ to use the same email addy for alts. I tried the CSI thingie and that one drove me mad-I had no problems whatsoever to create an alt with the same email before, but if I try that from the CSI portal, it won't let me.
