is this the right place to ask for help? i can't find a better place.

i set some blouses up for sale on SLX, and did a test delivery to myself to make sure i did it right.

when i opened the items and copied them into my inventory, it shows the flexi ruffles as having been created by someone else. I MADE THEM. in my store, that does not happen, just after this SLX delivery. the jeans are no charge items (cuz i didn't pay for them), so i just stuck them in there to complete the outfit. only the blouse and flexi ruffle are being sold. and.... it's the flexi ruffle that's misbehaving. i refilled the magic box, resent the delivery to myself, and the same thing again! grrrrr

wut? wut? wut??? i cannot explain this phenomenum. anyone?

Er, might I suggest the forums on SLExchange?

3 Ring, did you use one of the Skirt Building rezzers for your ruffles? If so, there are 2 versions out there available: one for personal use and one for professional use. The ones for personal use keep the base prim as created by the Skirt Builder maker, while the professional ones rez a new base upon completion of the skirt/ruffles and list you as the creator. That's what I can think of now.

Technically you should be asking at slexchange in their technical support thingy cause its a third party site

that being said i'm assuming you packaged them all in a box that has not had any permissions altered as in you rezed the box and slapped a texture on but didn't touch any of the perm settings?

It should work however delivery of items in boxes has always had bugs. Also if one of the prims in your ruffles design was made by someone else (i have no idea if you buy the biab's and alter them.. not a jab just a comment on why i may be saying what i said) then its possible that something is causing the root prim you created to change to another one beacuse sticking prims in boxes and delivery by those exchange boxes has always had a bug that comes and goes.

I would suggest taking everything out of the magic box. Double checking the stuff and stuffing them into a premade delivery box that you keep only for that purpose. Don't touch the permissions on that box as you want it to be like it was just rezzed :)

Otherwise your experiencing a bug of some sort which you can see if others are experiencing them as well on slx. It could be related to their coding or it could be sl related but you kinda need to check there first ^^

I know the competition that will come along someday is learning from LL's mistakes. But do they have to make so many?

Go to SLX and contact them. They listen and respond.

Unlike certain organizations. O.O

Amen!

But I'd like to see 3's response to Oryx, because I'm left scratching my head on how SLEx could change perms on something you are selling.. when it comes from your own warehouse. I've never had this happen, so I'm kinda curious as a dress/skirt seller.

i did use a necklace generator thingy to create them. it's something i hadn't considered.

i guess i just need to remake them, one prim at a time. may as well make the jeans too, cuz that's very very easy. ;)

thanks oryx. and, i will go read the slx forum too. didn't even think to see if they had one....... :o

If you use a generator to make them, replace the object inside the generator with a prim you make instead of the one it comes with. This should change the creator to you. If you let me know what generator you are using I could help you out if needed.

ok Lea, i'll do that next time i am inworld. wut's funny is the ones in my store don't have this problem.... well, actually, i should buy one from myself and find out if i am true on that as well......

this is frustrating. i've been selling these for a long time now, and i am embarrassed to think that someone thinks i stole something and resold it. ugh.
