Hi, later tonight I will help a newbie to customize his LAP AO, the one given out to residents under 30 days. He didn't like the walk so we are replacing it. Also a few stands.
But, this is hard, and I wonder if any of you have this AO and can copy and paste the notecard text here? It is really hard to help ppl with this, editing AO's was very hard for me and he isn't so experienced.
If I have the exact text i can tell him just what he has to change, words by words. Of course I can't get it myself.... it's only for new residents. I was hoping someone had kept this AO because they like it?
Pleaaaaaaaaaaaaaaase?

I have the female version of this AO. It's really good, actually. The AO overrider HUD is the common Ziggy Puff one I'm not sure if it's the original or the more effecient version - it's the one with the two buttons and everything else is dialog driven). So customizing is the typical notecard editing.

When are you doing this, Marianne? There are a lot of us here who've done this so often with the ZHAO that it's second nature now, maybe one of us could just show up and help you with it. In fact, if you post the names of the anims you want to add, I'm sure someone will post the text of a ZHAO notecard with those anims added.

Aw that was sweet, but I just crashed. No more SL today (European timezone) I am blonde RL. But I changed my own AO and that worked fine. Now, it can be hard to explain what I am doing to someone who's not done it before. I thought, if I had the notecard text, I can change just what need to be changed, and pass it to him. I think I can manage to learn him how to edit and find the contents. He need to edit that part himself, the new walk is no transfer. The LAP AO is only for new residents, so I can't get it. It is really good but he though the walk was too... overly macho with stiff swinging arms. I remember how terrifying I thought editing an AO was, and I had been in SL over a year. He's not so good in editing stuff. Fitting prims on a jacket was totally hopeless, but that was no copy/transfer.... so he sent the jacket, I just morphed into male shape and fitted the jacket for him. And sent it back of course!

From: Marianne Little .... I think I can manage to learn him how to edit and find the contents. ... To TEACH him, Marianne. One learns what someone teaches them. There, that oughta learn ya! - If you have a ZHAO II AO, copy the default notecard that comes with it. - Have him give you the EXACT names of the animations he wants to use. - Edit the notedcard yourself, using those names. - Give him the notecard. - Have him drop the animations he is going to use into the Content folder of his AO. - Have him delete the existing notecard in the AO, and drop yours in there. - Have him rename the notecard, if needed, to be the same as the original notecard in the AO.
