What is with everyone asking about this the past week or so?
Combined with the friend thing, too, this time.

Seriously, what the heck?

As for your question, yes. I don't think there is anything that is exempt from being counted in download/upload limits.

Not only does it count, it will very likely, if she's a heavy user, exceed her 30gigs.

Comcast has put a limit on usage and if you go over you pay for it by gig I believe but comcasts cielings are quite hight... TWC is experimenting with it in Texas now but much lower caps. 50 GB or 20GB, not certain.

Comcast is using a 250gig cap. even with me using sl 16hrs a day and downloading "things" I never hit there cap for the month. But am back on dsl now with no caps. Just becareful I would tell and find a program that sits on her desktop that will tell her exactly what she has used for that month and have her not exceed the 30gig cap

On my present ISP I'm unlimited so I have no problem.
My pevious ISP had a limit of 30GB per month, I think I use SL a lot and was allways within this limit.
Check what your particular ISP does if you exceed, seems to be different ways that ISPs react.

I do not have a cap, but I keep track of usage. I use SL for about 2 - 3 hours a day, usually stream the music (but rarely the video), I use about 0.25 to o.35 GB/day. I've heard that draw distance and other graphics details make a difference, and it matters whether you log in and stay up high in a sky box, or TP from mall to mall all day, but I have not investigated.

Hope that helps.

You have to log in through the Bigpond site and do all updates through them. It is some deal they have with SL but me personally would not touch bigpond
