I have had my chatlog turned on for ages and wanted to find my chats, and hunted to find the logs but there's very little there

In the Application Data/second life folder I see folders of peoples names, but don't know wherer al the chat is?

There are some tiny text files with like 1 or two lines in them, but that seems to be all.

All loggin is turned on I'm pretty sure.

Or am I just not looking in the right place?

thanks.

Chatlog does work (I come from IRC and log EVERYTHING). By default it ends up in some obscure folder that I had a really hard time finding as well. (Hopefully someone will come along to tell you where that is as I can't recall.)

What I did was to change where the chat log was stored. I'm not in world atm, but it is on the same preference tab where you can choose to turn chatlog on/off, etc. There is a white space to enter where you want to store your chatlog. I set up a folder under the C: drive called SL Logs so I have mine set to C:\SL Logs. Now they're easy to find! :)

Those would be IM logs.

It you've turned on logging for chat, it will be in that same folder, called chat.txt.
