How to pick up the AO after editing it

After spending almost $1000L on an AO that was no good I decided to try to edit one of the freebie AOs.

I set it on the ground and fill it with animations, no problem.

THEN if I accidentally click on something else or try to pick it up again, I can't find it!

Why is it so small? Or is it invisible? Can I make it bigger? or will that be bad?

I keep leaving them all over the place because I can't find them after. I run my cursor all over the ground and click everywhere. I try to be REALLY careful where I set it down so I can find it again, but it is so small it must slip into the floor or something.

What really burns me is that I can see a tiny green dot on the mini-map where the AO is hiding.

What can I do?

open up the edit window, then click and drag the mouse while holding the left mouse button down, it will make a yellow selection box

if you are in the right area you should be able to find it

they make them small so they fit on the hud without covering the entire view area

Hi Seven! I usually make a light blue flat surface to edit my AO on (the red 'view transparencies' glow shows up well on it), and I also have been known to put down a rod pointing to where I'm going to rez it!

Also, I don't know if you're already doing this, but before you rez it you can bring up the edit window (ctrl-3), and when you rez it, it will automatically be selected for editting.

You can also right-click and "take" it while it is still in edit.

Good luck!

Thanks, Nika! I think I will add all these to the instruction notecard and send it to the maker.
