I posted this one in the Animations Forum but thought I'd post it here also for a more general view.

I've been using QAvimator for the last year and after a few initial problems while becoming familiar with it it's worked perfectly..great little programme. A week or so ago I updated my video drivers so as to allow me to use Windlight and now QAvimator refuses to run properly. I have this constant delay on everything I do. Click on a limb nothing happens..wait a couple of seconds and then finally the limb lights up. Run an animation..click the run button and nothing happens..wait a couple of seconds..then it runs usually in a series of steps a few seconds long.

I removed my copy of the prog and downloaded a new copy..same problem. Very frustrating..anyone seen this or got any advice..?

Just a wild guess, but I'd take careful stock of the settings in the Control Panel that's supplied by the card/driver manufacturer. My bet is that upgrading the drivers turned on anti-aliasing or anisotropic filtering or some other GPU-hog, or shrunk video memory in use, or otherwise b0rked the graphics for the whole system.

i had that problem with another program, the best way around it is to buy a really big fan for your video card, attach it and over clock it, problem solved!

I vaguely remember reading a thread recently with someone else having similar problems with QAvimator, and I think they too had recently updated video drivers. As I no longer use that program I wasn't paying sufficient attention to remember whether a resolution was found, but I suspect that if you do a search for QAvimator on the forums you'll find it easily enough, I think it was fairly recent.
