I tried to rez an object from inventory and got a message stating 'cannot create object <object> because the parcel <parcel> at <locaiton> is full'. However, when I check the Object tab for the land, it says the parcel supports 234 prims and currently has 138 on it; the sim shows 191 available.
What gives? Is there something else I need to check?

edit -- damn object wasn't in a box as I expected but the actual necklace itself and it is a freaking 250 prims.

Is there any way to know how many prims there are in an item before purchasing it? I know when I buy hair I can check out the demo through edit but what if there are no demos?

You rely on the ad the vendor has. If no prims count is listed, contact them before purchasing, would be my advise.

Luckily, I didn't pay for this necklace; it was a Group freebie. That is actually why I thought it was boxed though, as all of the freebies from that group have always come boxed. I've made a note to go back and check prim counts on all the other stuff I've gotten from that group.
