Ok, I converted some of my songs into .WAV format like your supposed to, but it still wont let me upload any of them. Anytime I do try it always says:
Unknown Vorbis encode failure on C:\documents and settings\users\desktop\Wavmusic\(name of song I am trying to upload)
anyone know what IM doing wrong?

Hmmm, there's a 10 second limit to WAV uploads - dunno if that's what is breaking the encoder and causing the error, but since you said you were trying to upload songs I thought I'd mention it and possibly save you some wasted time

What?!? only 10 seconds?!? Whats up with that? So long as you load the song into your character and not into the actual world I'd think it would be fine.

There isn't any way to upload something "to your character" without it being available to pass around or sell. If they let people upload songs SL would become the hot new file sharing medium for copyrighted music, like it or not. Sucks for us honest people. edit: if you own or rent land and have access to Shoutcast, you can broadcast your own radio stream for people to enjoy.

There are ways people have of getting round the whole 10 second issues though Theres music player scripts in world if you have a look around, cant remember off the top of my head where but theres quite a few available, which can play a series of 10 second clips dropped into an object one after another, with no gap between them 99% of the time. Sure its a pain to cut a song up into 9.9 second clips and it costs a couple of hundred linden to do any decent song but its a method none the less
