Is it possible to create something in SL showing no creator?
I have a few items in my inventory that when I look at them in edit, it shows creator unknown?
very curious,

That happens if there is more than one asset involved or an asset has multiple creators.
For example, a prim created by Gene Replicant linked to a prim created by Argent Stonecutter will show up with no creator. _____________________

note that it usually only shows that way in the inventory folder... it'll show the root prims creator from inworld in the edit pane, inspect IIRC will show all the individual creators

Megaprims are always made by someone else. How to avoid having the final product have 'no creator'?
Probably shouldn't ask complex questions when I am this tired. _____________________

ha...yeah true. But I usually just use one or a few. It would be hard to build a regular house out of all megas.
![]() Thanks anyway though. _____________________

Well, if you resize a mega, it turns into a regular prim. So you could... if you wanted the house to be created by Gene Replicant.

Rumor has it that megaprim creators absolutely loathe people you use their freely given prims and link them as "root" prims for builds -- thus making the megaprim creator the creator of the build.
Not only does this suck for the megaprim creator who gets the customer service calls - it sucks for the original creator because their work is floating around with someone else's name on it. Potential customer: "Hey, that's a nice little house over there - who made it......hmmm, some dude named Gene Replacement...let's see if he has a store somewhere...." Sale lost. _____________________
