This has been happening to me just lately. I go to a store and the item pictures are all red and flickering. I can't see the image properly even if I get closer. Bad news as I'm something of a shopaholic, lol!
I think it must be something in my settings accidentally turned on, but I haven't a clue what. Can anyone help? I am running the latest official viewer on an XP pro laptop, graphics card Nvidia 60 7600.

Go to your view menu and see if "Beacons Always On" is checked. If so, uncheck it.

type CTRL-ALT-T
That's a setting to view transparant textures.

Thanks for the help, guys. Turning off 'beacons always on' did the trick.
