Ok so i didnt know were to put this, but here go'es!!!

I would like to be part of a family, i really dont want Siblings but wouldnt mind if they were there, I would like to be an Only Child. I would like my mommy or daddy to play games with me, Hide & Seek is my fav... I get really into playing as a Child.I would like to wait until i find a Mommy or Daddy before i decide my Age, But i am thinking of possibly being 9-12 so we can decide on that together! I am Obsessed with the Movie Coraline ( MY NAME LOL) but anyway, Please if you know anyone or looking for a child to complete your family please IM me or send a Notecard!

Thank you everyone who reads this :)

Your best bet would be to make use of the services of an adoption agency. There are a number of good ones in-world that specialize in matching prospective families to adoptees. They often run a trial period where the family and adoptee live together for a couple of days to determine if they are right for each other. If it doesn't work out, then no harm, no foul, and nobody is charged for the trial. Speaking of charges, the adoption fees incurred by the child are usually minimal or free.

Best of luck to you! :)

To the OP: Lots of decent SL adoption agencies out there, or at least, ones that do what they say.

Hi Coraline!

You might find it best to do a search inworld for "Make A Wish Adoptions" in world. I'd also suggest stopping by the SLC Learning Tree, in the Whippersnapper sim, and requesting membership in SLC.

best of luck!

You know, kid - it's a tough life out there on the road. Hardship, hard rock cafes, hard cheese.
An English bloke even wrote a book about it - Hard Times.
You'll prolly meet a decent couple. Church-goers. Keen on your education. They'll feed you well. Maybe even give you an allowance for some bubble gum. It'll last a few days, maybe a few weeks. Then you'll be thrown out and sent off to a private school.
But I can't help you.
The last one I adopted ended up as a stripper and still costs me a fortune in hand-outs. (Yes, not many of you know, I've got a sl-aughter. Sweet kid. Over 18 so I could marry her off if this was rl.) She's got issues. But she's a good kid to her ol'mam.
So good luck, Corduroy. Behave yourself. Dont cry when they beat you.

one more advice about the trail, do not try to please your adoptive parrents, the trail is to see if you and they can get along including quirks and wierdnesses, not to impress them.

And never ever get desperate, take your time and turn down parrents that can't life up to your expectations, there are plenty of parrents out there looking for kids and sooner or later you run into the Right One (c)(r)(tm).

This. Be picky. Not every person is going to fit well into another person's RP, plain and simple.

If I was a SL kid, I think I'd choose orphan-hood. I've read some of your wistful posts, Mari, about your SL parents who just kinda drifted away from SL after awhile and how much you miss the family dynamic. Why put yourself through it, just be freewheeling kid, on your own! People can't be trusted to stay in SL, to stay in the RP, or to do anything really. You can only trust yourself.

Why, Jig! I didn't know you had it in you - although I suppose I could've easily suspected such.

Corrected only because it changes the meaning and some will be scratching their heads.

She means 'trials' - generally two weeks, sort of a compatibility test run.

Agencies still seem a bit random to me but then they are in RL also (more so, actually - in SL you can choose, not in RL.)

Depending on why you're a child av, that can kinda defeat the purpose. If I wanted to be on my own without anyone to depend on, I could have stayed in RL. Actually, that's why I finally gave up and grew up -- Frances Hodgson Burnett notwithstanding, being an orphan is no fun. :-(

For the record, I have a SL mother. We both belong to the same Cthulhu-worshipping cult - I believe religion is something the entire family should participate in if possible.
