Being "locked out" lately a lot, why ?

I've been in SL almost 4 years now, and YES I understand the prompt that says you cannot log back in until XXXXX time.

However, usually if you are persistent, you can log back in earlier. Lately, this has not been the case for me. I (and perhaps others) have been locked out the entire 5 minutes, if not more.

Anything new here ?

Thank you kindly.

Steve

Yea it happens. It really happens in LAGGED sims, like NAMPO..... :p (of course i am never there:D)

When i log out there and immediately try to log back in, it takes the full 5mins for sure.

The five minutes is actually a fake number. It's just a lot easier to handle for most people then "you can log back on whenever the sim you were in finishes uploading your attachment's states to the asset server", which is what is really happening.

I thought that was when you got the message that "The sim is in the process of logging you out.."

Of course, when I get this message, I usually get that one on the next try.

Yep, that's what I thought the OP was referring too.

Best login error I've gotten is
"Login failed.
Agent not in region, but is probably in a neighboring region. Please try again.
Please try logging in again in a minute."

So, I'm a little beside myself??

Yes and a great way to force it to realise you are logged out and to let you back in is by getting someone already in-world to send you an IM (you may be able to contact them via MSN etc) - 99% of the time, it clears your session so you can log in again :)

Oh, i will try that.

I thought it happened like that in Nampo because the sim was so supper lagged with 30-42 avatars always there.
