i just got a new laptop and i have this font that is like bumpy lookin in my inventory and its hard to read and it is also in ims is there a way i can change the font

You might try opening SL preferences and fiddling with the window size. A different aspect ratio might make that font display better.

I don't know of a way to change the font. But a couple of suggestions: if you're running in full screen mode, I'd try it in a window (Edit / Preferences / Graphics). And try setting the UI Size slider (Edit/Preferences/General) to 1.0 if it isn't already.
