Items that keep coming back

Had an issue on a sim tonight whereby some object kept coming back and spawning objects until my group limit worth of prims was full, which meant nobody could place any objects on the land. The object was issuing red squares all over the place.

Returning the objects didn't quite work, the objects would reappear straight away.

I'm not sure how this got there as the land is group build. I contacted live chat and filed an abuse report and they fixed the problem for me but is there any other way of getting rid of problems like this?

Concierge support is really good but I'd rather only call on them when I really need to.

Autoreturn is a landowner's best friend. Only problem is group owned land, setting everything to the group so half your build doesn't return. >.<

If object entry is turned on it's possible the objects aren't originating from your land but from a neighbouring parcel.

Return wasn't working, they'd come right back, autoreturn wouldn't have helped.

It was half on my parcel half on the neighbours, object entry was off on my parcel and I could click on it to return it. I turned everything off completely for everyone including running scripts but it didn't stop it from returning.

Did all of the objects have the same owner?

Would I be correct in assuming that you were returning the objects by doing a Refresh List in the Objects tab and returning all objects belonging to a particular owner?

Either
1) a new parent replicator is being sent into the parcel after each time you delete the objects
or
2) the last one to be returned had already started replicating others by the time it was deleted.

How about replicating your own objects to fill any prim allocation at the time.
Rezz some high-prim stuff. Prim hair is god for filling parcels :)
I could make up a quick and nasty script/prim that will rezz an object from its inventory for however number of times.

Delete the group(s) of offending objects and replicate your own immediately.
Rinse and repeat until the last offending object is unable to replicate as no prims are available.
Then delete the last one.

Then there are no naughty objects on the land.
So delete two of your own filler prims.
Will the objects come back?
If so, they came from outside the parcel.

Yes, well it was one object and lots of red squares that it issued.

Yes, that's correct and for all of two seconds it would show only the objects of the people who should have had objects there and then it came back.

2 sounds most likely thinking about it because it was a replicating object so i guess although I thought I'd returned everything and the parcel seemed to agree the replication had started again as there was space again to fill. A right pain the arse though.
