Two huge griefing structures have been left in my home sim, made up of several 10 metre square panels. Part of one of these structures overlaps my land, which is set to 1 minute auto-return. My land shows 0 objects owned by others. I walked around and the structures are over no-build land. The prims are UNLINKED. The object was placed by a newbie no-payment details resident and were created by someone else. The land behind my place is up for L$ auction at present and I wonder if these objects are placed by a hopeful buyer using a new alt, to put others off bidding. How was it possible to place these structures, I wonder? I'm completely baffled.

Possibly, but one piece of land doesn't even allow access let alone object entry!

In the early stages of my building, I would accidently set the xyz numbers to something not on my land. Wonder if that would get by the object entry of the in between lands?

It does, it warps it directly there... I've sent wall sections across sims, the followed the line to find and run into ban lines galore...

Overhang large structure

Hmmm... The same thing happen to my parcel. I have AR to SL....waiting for a response. I also have an attack by tons of notecards which will keep flooding the system as soon as I delete it or mute it. When look at the properties of the notecard, it stated it was from a neighbor parcel and was given to me by me... It looks like a griefer use the backdoor to bypass all the permissions.. could be a piss-off SL programmer..

The two structures span about 5 properties, one of which has no permissions of any sort and has entire prims of the unlinked object above it. I have filed and AR after failing to get a response from owner to my IM. The unlinked structures, which are very crude, were actually created by someone else! I wonder if all this is connected with the fact that the land next to me is being auctioned and is being visited by dozens of people, all of them basic account newbies who've joined in the last couple of days. Normally my sim is very quiet. Something very strange is happening.

Normally my sim is very quiet. Something very strange is happening. same thing happened on my sim this past summer when land went for auction. newbies everwhere ... and building crap whever they could. it has been brought to my attention that many if not most newbies are unaware that they can BUY land. many think land can only be obtained thru auctions. so they are following the auction links.

The auction land is set to no-build and auto return yet a newbie has put a cube on it. Does allowing object entry mean objects pushed onto land can't be auto-returned?

Neighbouring landowners have been able to return the offending objects but the ones on my land spill over from a 16m plot on which they were rezzed. If I can't get the plot owner to remove them it looks like I'm stuck with them spoiling my home.

No, then you AR the object's owner and since you have access to Live Chat, you can hop on their, tell them you AR'd the offending object(s), but that you need it removed so you can use your land. Although I've only had to AR them, myself, if the owner isn't willing to.

One of the structures has now been deleted by the landowners but the other one remains, and part of it is pushed onto my land. And here the mystery deepens. The structure was placed by a newbie, and is almost entirely on land that is no-build AND no object entry. I have tried to contact the landowner but despite the land being next to mine I have never seen them in-world and nothing seems to have ever happened on their land from when they joined SL and put a house on it last Feb until now. I tried to trace the landowner through the groups they belong to (about 10 of them) but all but one of them was started by him and no member details show up so I can't see when he last logged in. I have also IM'd the landowner and the person who placed the objects, both with no reply.

Don't forget that not all newbies are in fact newbies. Some are alts created by oldies for just this sort of thing. I've had the same problem with objects placed by supposed newbies who have disappeared entirely from search once they've done the dirty deed. As far as I know ownly the original owner or a Linden can move overlapping prims, unless you can push them all the way onto your land, then delete or return.
Good luck!

I suppose it could be a fake-noob trying to litter the auction land to discourage bidders so their real alt can get that land cheaper.

I dug this thread up to report that the object was swiftly removed after I filed a support ticket. May I thank LL for that. What I still don't understand is how a day-old newbie was able to place a rez a large structure that covered land that was no-build and no object entry, and then move some of the junk onto my land which had the same settings.

I have dealt with 4 instances of large black semi-transparent buildings left on my sims. Its a horrible mess because pieces are left all over many plots on the sim and if the settings are not correct, it makes for a long task returning piece by piece in fear of accidentally returning a landowners possessions.
