Someone IM'd me this morning stating that her sim had suddenly reverted from Adult to Mature and was wondering why her estate manager would do that. Then I checked my own sim and the same thing had happened to me (and I am the estate manager). Then I beamed to a few random spots around Zindra and... lo and behold... they were set to "Mature" and not "adult" as well.

I've looked for a notice or blog post or status report, but see nothing. I haven't seen any forum posts on this either... anyone know what's up?

Don't know but basically Zindra Adult is what mainland Mature used to be anyway...

I'm not talking about the general "rules" - I'm asking if everything that was set to adult yesterday is now set to mature this morning.

I'm set on adult there, but you if LL did set us all to mature until the viewer was sorted out it might be a fairer thing...People are loosing traffic cuz the search ratings being screwed

Our land has been set mature for a couple of days now Rygel, howver when I tested the search with adult turned off on the 1.23 viewer our land did not show in search though. So although it shows as mature on the screen it does not seem to be treated as mature in the search.

using 1.23 code base I see nothing but adult regions in Zindra.

The regions in Zindra I've looked at this morning are showing up as Mature in the 1.23.4 on my computer.

They've always showed up as Mature in Snowglobe for me, and now the regular viewer is showing as "

Snowglobe release)" in the About SecondLife tab. I wonder if having Snowglobe installed on this computer has anything to do with it?

My NPIOF/non-age verified alt still can't go to Zindra, so those regions appear to still be Adult, regardless of what the viewer says.

Edit: I tried on a different computer that's never had Snowglobe installed and Adult regions in Zindra show as Adult in it.

Older SL viewers don't "parse" the adult flag correctly, and will show adult land as mature. This includes many of the third-party viewers.

I'm on Emerald, and they have ALWAYS shown adult since the upgrade... only mine show mature on the about land now on every adult sim i have been to, and if i hover on the map it shows adult... Very interesting, seeing as traffic ran 0 also. maybe just a glitch in something?

'The Churchyard' is still showing as a mature rating in the land box on the latest official release client 1,23.4 from LL and not adult as it should but it still has the adult characteristics as in cannot be found in search unless adult is ticked.

I recently started using Emerald and I just noticed my region was showing as Mature instead of Adult. I tried to change it back to Adult but it refused to change. I logged into the regular SL viewer and the region shows as Adult. Appears to be related to Emerald and/or third party viewers?

Even on current viewers, the rating shown in the menu bar and IIRC a couple of other spots in the UI can be unreliable. The map is better at showing the right rating when you mouse over.
