Almost all of us are in groups. Many of the groups we're in use group chat. The thing is, when you log in, you're usually picking something up mid-conversation. So a lot of things come out of context. Just now, I logged in to read this: =^-^=
[14:22] ***: how do i stretch it so it fits? [14:22] ***: rotatiion worked,ty btw
.... (O.o) Gotta love stuff out of context! =^-^=

I also love it when group chat lines combine down in the bottom left of the screen, so that scripting, fashion and dungeon chat intermingle with alarming results.

I've seen similar things in regular person-to-person IMs (someone clicked the wrong tab, oops!), but in those cases the context is pretty darn clear.  I do wonder why on earth people would leave extra IM tabs open in those situations, or be carrying on a conversation with me on the side for god's sake.
