Why did they get rid of the Blog and Grid Status Links on the Log-In Screen?

They aren't there anymore. They aren't there for other people anymore either, so it seems to be not just me.

Why did they do this? Did they mention doing this anywhere, and I missed it?

Seems like they would want people to be able to access the grid status reports easily, at least.

Is this just a temporary glitch?

They said it was temporary. I think they are "improving" it.

So we'll be seeing them back "Soon?"

Yes, I just now noticed they are gone, even from the RC. How strange.

Beat me to the punch...

Probably just as "temporary".

I thought it was alike to being in a airship that was going down, the less stuff on board the longer you can stay afloat

I'd like to know where those pictures on the login screen were taken. It's quite lovely.

I imagine the blog link will return; it directs people to the company line.

What won't ever appear on the login screen is a link to the forums.

As we all know, LL is all about customer communications.
From: Katt Linden
Linden Lab knows how important it is that we have clear and consistent communications with Residents. We know that we have work to do, and that’s why I’m here. I’ll start by managing a facelift on the forums, and then on the blog.
After all that work was artfully completed, Katt jumped in again with "Second Life Login Screen, now with More Information"
From: Katt Linden
We have made a few changes to the Second Life login screen, as you may have noticed, and we hope you’ll find them useful. You will see headlines from two sources, the most recent posts from the Official Second Life Blog and also the most recent Second Life Grid Status Reports.
I expect they'll next open the much anticipated Ministry of Truth.
