friday april 25... the past few hours i've been trying to reach slexchange today, i'm only getting

IMPORTANT MESSAGE

Marketplace is currently down for maintenance

anybody else too? they have been doing some maintenance lately i've noticed, but didn't see a note about today. (maybe they planned it semi-concurrently - like a halfabee!!

with this week's server updates...)

still often says 'just a few mins' but so far hasn't opened back up for me. how about 'yalls??

It's said the same thing for me for a while now.

And I have seen no estimated time of completion whatsoever, so I'm not expecting that this was a 'quick fix' or anything.

Hi all,

After we found and corrected a number of issues I plan to retry the failed deployment tomorrow, April 25th starting at 9:00am SL time. During this time the Marketplace will be disabled for about 10-15 minutes while I re-run a database conversion.

Today's failed deployment was a result of a severe performance problem which has existed for years. It managed to go unnoticed as it performed "well enough" until we added today's change into the mix at which point the database server screamed "OUCH" very loudly! After fixing this problem and a number of other minor issues, we're ready to try again.

I'm still working on things - the performance issues seem to be better now, but I believe I've stumbled across a MySQL bug and have to rework some database table indexes. Right now I'm just waiting for that to complete.

Keyword searches may run slowly for awhile. I found another performance issue related to them that can be significantly optimized and I plan to hit that after this main deployment is finished.
