Building on Linden Land?

I noticed a beach being built over some water next door and went to take a look at the build and I noticed something very strange. It seems that the entire build has Linden right of way going through it. If anyone wants to take a look head over to Seoraksan 58, 63, 24, it is right in the center of the build and clearly is owned by Governor Linden.

Is it ok for people to use Linden Land this way or should I AR them?

I woudl check and see what group (if any) the build belongs to, if it is not a linden group then ... IF it is bothering you, I would AR, otherwise I would not worry about it, especially if it ends up being useful

Why bother? They just forgot to put autoreturn on. There's OPP all over the Mainland.

Yeah sometimes they do rip up stuff on protected land and send out warnings if they don't like it. But most of the time they don't really care.

Well, in my opinion the build does detract from the look of the neighborhood that I live in, but I know it's mainland and that that's bound to happen eventually. It looks like they may be getting around the autoreturn problem by centering megaprims to the sides of the Linden owned land so that the prims are not actually on the land even though they totally encompass it on both sides. I am definitely not one to be AR happy which is why I was looking for other opinions from those here.

Thanks for all of them so far.

It gets stranger

I decided that these giant megaprims encroaching on the land were annoying enough to go ahead and AR them but when I right click on them and choose to file an AR I get this message.

This seems to be a strange message to get for an object that is located on mainland, what's up with that?

Yes - AR that one. I had a similar problem with massive prim litter over a Linden road adjacent to my parcel - it took about a week of AR-ing, but the Guv'nor came and sorted it.

After hearing you describe them and the fact they spoil your view, I think the AR was merited.

Had a site visit and, yeah, this deserves an AR: it's completely blocking a Linden road that runs right down to the water's edge, as for a boat launch or beach access. If ever there was a bad place to litter Linden land, this is it--and it's not just random litter, it's an amazingly primful construction that totally changes the topography of the area (and not for the better, but aesthetic judgments aren't really relevant--still, it's hard to imagine what they were thinking, having been blessed by a really interesting piece of Linden topography, and turning it into this).

The uniqueness of the spot is why my heart sank when I saw what was happening there, but I know that things on the main land change fast and often not for the better. In this case though I think that the Linden right of way through that parcel is part of the reason that area of mainland has been reasonably unspoiled for so long. I hope Linden Labs chooses to act on this.

Thank you everyone for your responses.
