I have a lot of land and I want to buy the one next to it. My first land has a group which has 1200 some prims set to it.
if I buy the new land and join it with the old. will all those grouped items go POOF before i can set the new parcel to the same group?

Not sure... but if you turn off your "return items" you should be fine.
I've joined a number of parcels and never lost a thing.

I really need to know for sure, thats a lot of explaining to do about why some one has to rework everything again. I'm sure they dont want "pretty sure" any place I can reference this?

buy the new land for group
(an option on the about land tab)
be sure to have the group as your active tab so it knows which group to buy it for
also remember your group needs enough tier to support new land as well
you can't join them unless they are the same group...

also the only time things get returned is when the land is being set to group only, and stuff is not set to the land's group....
