I downloaded the new version on Sunday and then logged on. My avatar looks like it is in shreds. The arms are like hangers, standing straight out and shreds hanging off them, legs too, head between legs. Now others see me as bald and clothes are miss matched.
Something is really wrong. How or what should I do?

Sounds as if your video drivers are seriously out of date.

It's not the video drivers. I had the same thing happen to me, and spent hours tracking down non-existant updated video drivers.

In Edit-Preferences-Graphics, make sure that Custom is checked, then go to the bottom of that window and de-select Hardware Skinning.

someone helped me sometime ago to get out of clothes that just would not come off!

I Know the way she did it but cant find the drop down.

It was **client** avater** rebake avarter
and i all came back reset.

))

perhaps someone else knows this routine and where to find client??

Press crtl + D to activate the client menu. In the new client, it's called "advanced", so you might already have it open. The correct menu path is advanced -> character -> rebake textures. Doesn't work all the time though.

worked for me, but not sure about actual avarter skins, just an idea to try I thought!
