my biggest complaint about inventory items is the lack of being able to create shortcuts to items so you can make premade outfits that share no copy items.

Also why does replace outfit need to remove hud stuff.

Trolane, that's a nice idea about the shortcuts - it would solve a lot of issues with building outfits with "no copy" items.

Have you searched the JIRA area for the suggestion? If you have, please post a link to it here so that we can vote for it. If not, then if you create one and mention it here it will get my vote.

Linden Labs doesn't read these forums - the JIRA is the only system that they say they routinely follow.

Because it "REPLACES" it. No sarcasm intended, and here's why: HUDs for the most part, as I have recently learned, are really just attachments in different places (yes a few goofy things won't work but most do).

I was also taught last week, the beauty of "Add to outfit."
I have all my necessary but NO COPY items in a folder on their own, most of them HUDS. Right click this additional folder and select "Add to Outfit" and it doesn't replace a thing. No shortcuts needed. Name it something you can search for easily, like "::basics" so you can search for it in a hurry :)

Give it a try, or call me in SL and I can help you, it took a while to get used to but it's now a great thing :)

YaY! :)

No no...sorry if I wasn't clear. I have a HUD and a few items I always use, and they are all non copy. My skin is also no copy, for instance. I have all these in a single folder that I use basically with EVERY outfit. I put on the clothes and shoes I want, then select this folder and "add to outfit" I renamed it "0 cat" to make it easy to find, and use it all the time. I know it's not the "shortcut" you wanted, but it's almost as good. I just drop the first folder on myself, then find this and "add to outfit" and it doesn't replace what I had on already. I hope this helps.

Nice one, Cat - Thank You!
I'm due for a sit-down to organize my inventory (been saying this for a while...), and this is the first thing I will do. Great suggestion! :)

I believe there is already a JIRA for this. It's a great idea.
