Ok, so it seems that after i upgraded my computer, the lag has gotten worse for me.When im by myself SL runs great but when im in a group(could be as little as 7 people) the lag becomes horrible and i cant even type. One of the things i've upgraded is my video card.I now have the ATI Radeon HD 3200.I heard you have to uncheck the Enable VBO so i did, that helped a little but not much. Since the upgrade i cant use the SL Viewer anymore,i die of lag even when im by myself.I now use the Hippo viewer. I have AMD Athlon(tm)x2 240 processor with 2.8GHz,2gb of RAM
Any ideas to what could be going on?

Radeon ATI + SL = not good bedfellows
thats a general rule not an absolute
you might want to go into your preferences and tweak your graphics settings some. I find I end up doing this as SL tends to set the defaults to the BEST your video board can do which for me is too much most of the time.

Hmmm... That's a chip set, not a graphics card (5200 is a card though.) I was asking because the HD3200 is generally on board graphics and is on the lower end of the spectrum when it comes to running SL. If you have the old card look it up online and compare it to the 3200. You might find that you're better off with the old one. Good luck.

When I was running on an ATI card, it helped immensely to go into custom graphics options, hardware settings, then turn off "enable open gl vertex buffer objects". With that unchecked, my SL ran much more smoothly.

Try Boy Lane's Rainbow Viewer or Cool Viewer and SSE2 patch. http://my.opera.com/boylane/blog/rainbow-viewerhttp://my.opera.com/boylane/blog/cool-viewer-1-22-11-0-r10a-fully-adult-compatibleIdeally, get a good Nvidia graphics adapter. The HD3200 isn't the worst graphics adapter you can get for SL, but it's close.
