So over the last few years, I've had to re-add the same paypal info due to SL screw ups and it not allowing me to purchase $L. So evidently, for no reason they disabled my paypal account. After much deliberation ( yes all transactions went through), they state its Paypal. Paypal says they're full of it. There's no issue on their end. Tell LL this, they then say its because said account has been used more than 5 times. Well... it hasn't been used again, they just disabled.
Now when re-adding it, it says the account has been restricted. I demanded things be taken care of, they give me the whole song and dance about how it's their processor and not them.. so on. i tell them to stop b.s'ing me, anything can be fixed. They reopen.
Its been well over a week. Still "work in progress". Anyone else have this issue before?

yeah they messed up my pay pal too and it never did get sorted out.
I just use prepaid visa gift cards now.

Its retarded. Are they not their own processor? Can they not fix this? Its nuts. 3 years of flawless purchases, and this is the thanks at the end of the day, for no damn reason what so ever. Works one day, dead the next.

LL is full of it on this, but refuses to admit it is entirely their own fault. Their payment processing department needs re-training or replacement, and is incompetent.
How else can one explain that any NEW player can readily use PayPal, but if that same Player creates more than 5 or so accounts, LL will lock out the PayPal option on any future accounts for that user's PayPal account, despite LL being PERFECTLY HAPPY to continue honoring the accounts that were already set up?
What I am convinced of is that their Payment Processing department never got the memo that a limit of 5 accounts per payment method is no longer being enforced. So once a given Resident uses Paypal suceessfully more than 5 times, LL locks out that paymet method for them, forever, for any new accounts.
And to make it worse, they seem to count each successful set-up as a used account, even if it was re-applying the SAME info to the SAME account.

it was hit and miss at the best of times. i eventually gave up and started funnelling any $ through slx. now that ll have commandeered slx i am afraid my options are about to run out.

I got a cc on once but could never get it on my alts. Even with 2 visits to live help, one helper said they didn't take my credit card even though I had bought land and payed premium membership with it and the other said they did take my card but said I'd have to take a ticket for any help... Which I didn't bother with.
Their loss, I spend a lot less this way.
