What's happening in the Herman Miller store? Where are all the Aeron chairs in SL?

What started out as just looking for a couple of Aeron chairs for a studio I'm building in SL seems to have led me into a rabbit hole. The Herman Miller "Get Real" store appears to not be offering anything for sale.

And I can't find a single Aeron chair anywhere on SL.

Please tell me I'm missing something obvious here. Thx. - Rim

It could be that the in world Herman Miller store was closed down due to copyright and trademark infrigement.

Instead of looking for "Aeron" chairs, which is a name belonging to the Herman Miller, Inc., have you tried looking for just office chairs? I know Hofman has a wide range of very nice furniture including office chairs and furniture.

Actually, Herman Miller was behind the "Get Real" store. The chairs were for sale, and could also be gotten as a 'trade in' of non-licensed duplicates.

They were really too prim heavy, and a bit out of scale (even by SL standards) to be useful. Nice looking, with sculpty bits and baked shadows, but ya. Pretty underwhelming, too.

Search for "Corn", they have some very nice office furnishings. The HM stuff was (as it seems they are closed) primmy as hell.

So they came inworld, C&Ded a few folks, offered the nice-but-unusable "official" version of their chair in exchange for the usuable ones (bearing in mind that the whole exchange was trust-based, an I doubt m/any actually dumped their chairs), then then retreated from Second Life? Yeesh.

I'm not sure how it worked out for them but I think that's pretty cool that they came in and tried to engage the community instead of just sending in the lawyers.

I'll second the Corn recommendation, plus when I had an issue the owner was polite, responsive and generous.
