Premium account canellation

I hold a premium account and it is paid until April 2010. If I cancel it, does anyone know if LL refunds the remainder of the balance back to you?

Yes.. there is that benefit. Who knows.. I just may hang onto the premium. I've only had to use the live chat a couple of times and both times I got great results, so it's not a complaint issue with the premium account. What I really wanted was a sack full of Lindens.. lol

Contrary to what some think, most Lindens are able to fight their way out of a sack. A cage will work better.

Good thing they are not cats then. At least one of my kitties has no problem fighting their way out of a cage. Put them in a sack and they are doomed. Doomed! Well, trapped, don't get wrong idea about "doomed. Doomed!" now.

Assuming you mean $L and not Blue, Jack, Phoebe, Torley, et. al., just collect the stipend, and if you don't own any mainland, rent the 512 free tier to the Land Ninjas. Cancel the account a couple weeks before the due date.

The Ninjas aren't doing this anymore, I know there are others around but I don't know any names off the top of my head.

Maybe join some worthy charity group and donate it to them.

Yes the Land Ninjas still rent out tier, but it was announced that they aren't accepting any more new donations. They still do rent tier from many of their existing contributors but they have reduced that considerably - according to somethign I read from Elan they disengaged from many of their longstanding contributors at random.

... and about the buying cheap land .. I remember reading that too. Nevertheless just yesterday I got beat out (by mere seconds) on the purchase of a parcel by a well-known droid named after a large US state, which I'm almost certain belongs to the Flock of Land Ninjas. I was quite surprised because I thought, as you did, this was no longer happening.

Dunno .. but I do know who bought that land from under my feet.

Yep, the Ninjas sent out a notice to everyone they were paying for tier and stated that they were not taking any more tier and were working to get out of that part of the business. They will continue paying those that are already donating their tier to them, but will slowly eliminate that part of the business thru normal attrition. And yeah, this will eventually impact how much tier they then have available to rent to people.
