I have been considering holding a raffle of sorts to promote my latest product. My thought was to sell tickets for something like 100L each ( to keep the alt armies at least semi honest ) and then after a period of time randomly pick one of the tickets to be the winner.

Is this a promotional sweepstakes or is it part of the banned gambling rules?

Thanks in advance for your help.

This would be a lottery, therefore banned gambling. "Players" have to pay money, winner is choosen randomly - there you go.

Do it without "players" having to pay anything and you are on the safe side.

Raffles are usually held for charities. You could pick a cause that already has an in world presence and see if they would set up a kiosk in your place. When someone donates through that kiosk, they get added to the raffle.

It's that easy. :)

p.s. the preceeding was not a real answer. It was meant as a joke.
