Sales Down Since New Xstreet???

Are anyone's sales down since the new Xstreet?

I know mine are...and it has to be related to the extremely horrible upgrade, since my sales plummeted after. The site is terrible to navigate and I dont even want to shop on there now...

Why couldnt they have left it alone!!!! FFS!!! Its NOT user friendly now..

Linden Lab..I know you dont read this posts..but you suck eggs....

I admit, I don't think I've had as good a sales with Xstreet since LL took over. But then, I'm also not as happy with Xstreet as I once was, so I'm not making as much effort to get sales there.

agreed..not happy here either..it wasnt the hugest percentage of my sales..but still helped..now it seems worthless to even try..

OK.. LL gets only 50% of my frustration..

This is the most UNFRIENDLY WEBSITE i have ever come across.. and i helped develop 150 or more... I helped folks get to the end user.. this is awful. I'm so frustrated I'd fire the developer.

I dont pay for extra advertising or do anything over to increase... but I sell a bit everyday so no complaints here.

Yep. LL has manage to make a very non-user friendly site. I've shown this to several of my non-SL using friends and the first thing they say is that the website is so freaking "busy" and hard to understand that they would never join SL. And yes, this includes a tour of Xstreet.

Way to improve user retention. Don't get them to log in in the first place!

They need to learn my dad's philosophy...dont fix it, if it aint broke...

Honestly..this is how I feel the Lindens treat us...

It wasn't really a conscious decision, but I haven't used XStreetSL very much since the website change. I don't think it's that hard to navigate. But it is freaking ugly. Just like the new SL page is freaking ugly.

I do not sell a ton, but at least there are sales, and since LL took over xstreet sales increased for me... since the website redo, sales have stayed about the same

took me a little to get used to it, but I like it now that I have settled into it.

eh well, I sell some everyday but I dont mean 50 - 100... I mean like 4 or 5 lol and but, hey thats exposure right. I really wont pay extra for the stuff I make the clothes and put it out there I am not wanting to make it rich you know.. or become a big fashion name... I just make clothes that are a bit more conservative although I do have a few racey ones.

But in looking at your stuff, which is great, i see many many doing the exact same things... so perhaps its a matter of they get to the others first? Maybe for you actually putting a few bucks into the add pot might help??

Na goto that other Merchant site.. ya know the one that HAS customer service and that HAS an easy to use interface and that HAS an easy to use forums... o wait... slx dost have a forum any more hehe

ps: I cant name the site... I got a 1 week suspension for naming a competeing site to SLX.. but its WAY the heck better... did I mention they have well everything SLX used to and more

I do LOVE the fact they gave me that suspension.. it means they ARE scared of compition which is good for everyone in sl.. except the lindens

I do not know why LL are worried about other e-commerce sites, because its about getting the merchants products in front of as many eyes as they can and therefore increase their sales hopefully and with competition for all of us it ensures that we stay on our toes and listen to our merchants, whether its our site or another e-commerce site thats for sure. We are currently redesigning the whole site in the background to make even more user friendly than it is now.

I hardly sell on Xstreet. I tried placing a frontpage feature once, but it did nothing for my sales. I know my products are high quality and I sell just fine in-world, but on Xstreet it's not working. I used to sell a lot more on OnRez.

I absolutely hate Xstreet's layout and design. It's such a giant mess and impossible to just have a casual browse through, which I did all the time on OnRez. Maybe people are clicking on the slurl I put in all my listings, I don't know. I still get the feeling I'm hard to find, though I've added myself to a lot of fashion feeds, placed classifieds etc. (But my products also aren't mainstream, so maybe that adds to the problem.)

I'm not complaining though. I'm starting to build up my subscriber base and definitely recently I've seen a lot of people come back to buy more after I sent a new product notice.

My SLX sales never have been spectacular, but they do seem lower now. Nearly non-existent.

Since they changed the forums and the site, and put in the monopolistic and anti-competitive rules that won't allow linking to any non-LL e-commerce sites, I have stopped placing any new products on SLX. I had a nifty new set of scripted doors that I want to start selling, but they won't allow me to link my SLX entries for those scripted prim doors to the texture sets that were made to work with the doors, because those sets are on an Non-LL-Owned website.

I am now in the process of shutting down my SLX presence and setting up shop in one of the new ones. I'm a small fish in SLX. They won't notice or care that I have left. So why should I stay?

Sorry, Linden Lab. But when you won't even allow me to link to MY OWN WEBSITE to support my products, because that site also refers to other e-commerce sites not owned by LL where I sell my textures... Well, you just cut your own throats. I have no further use for SLX as a place to market my SL-related merchandise.
