I was working on a custom pair of boots for a person and came to find that they have giant pointy ankles that could kill a bear. Any way to fix this yet? Thanks!

Usually it goes away with right setting or by it self. Check your pointy sections in the foot appearance slider and look and see what creates less pointy is in the ankle when you slide it up and down, save and wait for few moments to see if it still pointy. Some days though my feet are just plain ugly and i got weird pointy protrusions coming out of my ankle and nothing I do fixes it.

bigger feet
When I tried to conform to the size 0 shoes sizes of SL Fashion designers I too suffered the awful and undignified pointy ankle syndrome. It was only when I deigned to loosen the confining corset sliders of oppression and my feet swelled gloriously to match the proportion of the rest of my humble pixelated body was I cured.
lo, I was cured.

Is this the problem where it looks like you are growing giant fleshy icicles from the bottom of your pant hem? That can be pretty disturbing. I think a rebake or a change of pants helps. Or is this the problem when your legs are set to over 50 thickness and your feet are set to zero which results in a sort of leg to foot mismatch at the ankle? You will have to adjust either your feet or your legs.

Had my first experience with pointy ankles after I purchased a new outfit a few days ago... pants were capri length. Out of curiosity I went into appearance to check on pants length... it was set to 100. When l slowly dragged setting lower, the pointy ankle disappeared. I am not sure if the 100 length setting was an oops on designers part or an SL glitch. Problem solved though flo

Just a thought, ignore me if you already know this...
is this pointy ankle thing more of a pointy heel?
Could be an invisibility prim is needed to hide it with the boot design you are making.
