Hey all!

I checked the forum for a while now, but I still couldnt find an answer to my prob. Its the following:

I use a headset. And I can hear everone very good when I phone with them, but the prob is, that they hear the echo of themselves when they're on Voice with me and it seems like its totally annoying. They dont have any problems with other people like that.

Anyone knows that prob? I have XP btw.

Thanks in advance for your help. :-)

it sounds like the sound from your ear peices are echoing into the microphone. I had this problem aswell. Try messing with the sound levels. turn sound down, if you can't hear, try seeing if there is an option to eliminate background noise.
In the end, i had to play with the sound enough that i ended up with most of the sound going through my left ear, right ear with a bit of sound, and the microphone on my right side.
Get someone to test with you and see what you can do :)

EDIT: If none of this solves it, you may just have to turn of the microphone when you aren't talking.

Which is what you should do anyway. "Push to Talk in Toggle Mode" is the work of the devil. Use the default, and only key your mic when you speak.

When I got a new computer, I didn't realize for a while that (due to the magic of its sound driver) when I used my headset the earphone feed was also still coming out of the speakers, leading to echoes. You might want to check that out.

I had the same problem last night and now I just may go get a USB headset. I still don't know how to do what is suggested with the sound options on my computer. But can't wait to try it out thanks.
