Just to mention that since "Uru - Myst Online" shut down recently, several hundred of their folks have migrated to SL, recreating as much as they can their community, their architecture and - I assume - the game itself. Interesting phenomenon. They seem very active indeed, although I understand they don't venture out much, many of them regarding the rest of SL as the original den of sinful thieves.

Me too... I played all the Myst games, and joined the Myst:Uru online for a while. I deserted it for SL, though.

I played Myst:Uru single player first(with my RL cousin walking by with an evil laugh since I was doing this on his pc. I didn't have my own first pc yet), went online with Uru next and enjoyed the community of players. Then I participated in the GT version of Myst:Uru until it shut down recently.
I have been in our virtual world here for over a year and so have many Myst fans. In fact, I've heard that a lot of them talked other explorers into trying out this other virtual world based out of San Francisco. That's how my cousin got in here, he then in turn got me to try it and here I am today.
Hmm, maybe someone will try to set up a explorer reunion one day. That could be really wild and fun!

Last year I ran afoul of a bunch of Monopoly players in SL. They competed by buying and selling land, building on it, and renting it to one another.
