Now and then when you try and send a snap from SL via postard, for whatever reason you get a "the server won't cooperate so not tonight Josephine" type message with advice to try later. Is there any way to retain or retrieve the postcard pic and message, or is it gone forever?

I spent ages earlier taking a photo and writing someone a message, only to have it disappear so I had to start over.

*bump*

(Somebody must know something about this. Unfortunately I'm useless: I don't think I've sent a Postcard the whole time I've been in SL.)

I don't think there's any way to retrieve the picture or message, but I could be wrong. I'm no postcard expert.

With respect to retaining the picture and message, you'd have to do that manualy. For the picture, take it twice. Save the first one to the harddrive for free. Then send the next one as a post card. For the message, just store that in a notecard or text file on your computer.

Okay, looks like I'd better make a backup copy before hitting send. Just wanted to make sure I wasn't missing anything obvious. :-)

Thanks folks.

Any pictures I take I save directly to my harddrive first, any long notes I write I do so in notepad and save them just in case.
