But they will not even tell you your account has been blocked much less why until you submit a ticket.

that is a toll-free number. You can call without any charge to you.

I believe international charges still apply. Some countries charge both the caller and the recipient for phone use time as well.

I got a "your account disabled" message today, too---but it was only for about 5 minutes. The screen gave me a time I could re-log in.

Is it possible that the person in Ukraine's situation is similar?

If you used an internet cafe, yes.. you could have been hacked.

But you really should submit a support ticket and see what happens.

From some countries you cannot dial US toll-free numbers. In the best case it's a normal international call; in the worst case it does not work at all.

Having said that, there were login problems today. I suggest to retry and then open a support ticket if it still does not work.

In an Internet Cafe, your IP address is randomly assigned from a small number of addresses that the Cafe uses. It would be possible that someone else previously using the Internet in that same Cafe also accessed Seciond Life, and did something bad that got them banned. If you later got assigned the same IP address, Linden Lab's IP ban of the earlier griefer could be applied to your computer. This is one of the problems with relying on an IP address as a way of banning someone. Shared environments like Internet Cafes or computer labs often share IP addresses.

Try accessing the Internet somewhere else, where you would get assigned a different IP address, and see if that fixes your access issues.
