Although it has nothing to so with SL as far as the game itself, it is for my SL jukebox so I have a question for you music brainiacs.

Who sings: Died in your arms tonight? Or, I just died in your arms tonight?

Is it Journey or is it Foreigner?

I have the same song but by both groups. Although, I'm not really into Rock, I do like some of the songs from that genre like Bon Jovi and the two mentioned bands.

Thanks

A third band added to the mix?

I just tried this band and I get the same song. But I never heard of this group but then again I'm not a metal head so it's possible.

Basically, a one-hit wonder. Although I liked their other song, I've Been In Love Before.

All three bands give out the same song in different music players. But Cutting Crew it will be.

Thank you.. now this song is stuck in my head. But, yes, it's Cutting Crew.

I just heard this song you mentioned. Not bad at all. I'm going to add this too.

Thanks

Here's a little salt in that wound for ya:
-----------------------------------------------

Oh I, I just died in your arms tonight
It must have been something you said
I just died in your arms tonight

I keep looking for something I can't get
Broken hearts lie all around me
And I don't see an easy way to get out of this
Her diary it sits on the bedside table
The curtains are closed, the cats in the cradle
Who would've thought that a boy like me could come to this

Oh I, I just died in your arms tonight
It must've been something you said
I just died in your arms tonight
Oh I, I just died in your arms tonight
It must've been some kind of kiss
I should've walked away, I should've walked away

Is there any just cause for feeling like this?
On the surface I'm a name on a list
I try to be discreet, but then blow it again
I've lost and found, it's my final mistake
She's loving by proxy, no give and all take
'cos I've been thrilled to fantasy one too many times

Oh I, I just died in your arms tonight
It must've been something you said
I just died in your arms tonight
Oh I, I just died in your arms tonight
It must been some kind of kiss
I should`ve walked away, I should've walked away

It was a long hot night
She made it easy, she made it feel right
But now it's over the moment has gone
I followed my hands not my head, I knew I was wrong

Oh i, i just died in your arms tonight
it must have been something you said,
i just died in your arms tonight
Oh i, i just died in your arms tonight
it must have been some kind of kiss
i should have walked away, i should have walked away

Cutting Crew, No doughts,

I appreciate their style is somewhat similar to Foreigner...

Long live the eighties

The best music in just about all genres came from the 80's. The music from nowadays doesn't come close to back then. Not in my favorites, R&B & Salsa nor Rock. So I go back to that era for music to bring to the present.

Oh, Salsa from the late 70's to the early 90's is just way above the garbage put out afterwards. For me most music hit the wall around 1998 or so. So little of it since then interests me save for some Jazz and Classical.

Did anyone have one of those vans from late 70s early 80s? I think I was driven around in one when I was a kid. There was carpetting on the ceiling. The music may have been all right but the taste in interior decor was appalling. eeeee uuuuuuu! Oh yeah, a a round window at the back??

Oh boy. Well try a few ballad singers of today like James Blunt, K T Tunstall, Dido. You may like them.

They're all OK, but I wouldn't buy any of their albums. They just don't say anything to me. I am big on Ben Harper and Katie Melua though. And for some strange reason I really love John Mayer. There's no accounting for taste I guess.

Second Life is like a sanctuary for 80's pop culture. I'm really more of a 60's - 70's guy, but I love the 80's too. I don't have a problem with that digital synth sound and drum machines that so many complain about with 80's pop. Music can be great whatever instrument you use. Heck, my musical taste runs from about 1500 to the present, and I am the richer for it.

That's not a bad song to have stuck in your head.

I regret that Dolan Dobbs went on tour before he wrote a song about me ... damn ... all the signs were there. I am a Muse after all.

Who was he? Well Journey were mentioned in the thread ... he was just a singer in a smoky room ...
