Now it won't work at :( It just drops to desktop as soon as I click connect.

I would try clear cash but it does not get that far.

I had this problem last week. Do you have a mac? If so, you need to trash ~/Library/Application Support/SecondLife

Maybe doing a version of what I suggest above will help. Not sure if it's the same for PCs.

Hang in there, Yosef. Did you try DL an older viewer?

If you get to the login screen, with "File Edit" at the top, do Edit Preferences Network to get the clear cache button. Then exit the login screen and restart SL.

Or delete the folder manually, on a default install of SL, it's at C:\Documents and Settings\%username%\Application Data\SecondLife\cache. It might be somewhere else on your system. You might need to set Explorer (if you are on windows) to show hidden files if you want to mouse your way there in Explorer.

The OnRes client still works fine.

Then the thunderstorms rolled in. /me laughs
I'm not going to complain about the rain; not even a tiny bit. We need it desperately. Much more than I need a cyber makout session :o

Anyway. Tomorrow will be what tomorrow brings. I'll mess with the RC version later.

So you're telling me we need to reschedule?

Then the thunderstorms rolled in.

You too?

I had almost the exact same thing happen to me tonight.
I was dancing at the hangout and crashed. Made super and then when I went to log back in the power went out.

We had 2" (5cm) hail here, but most of it was just pea sized. My roses took a beating but they are tough and will recover. The daffodils are on the other side of the house so they are fine. All windows are still intact. My neighbor last a couple of panes, tho. Still have not seen what the car look like but I don't think there will be any damage. My car is an old Firebird so it's not like a little hail would be noticible anyway. My partner parks her car in the garage.

It's the first rain I have seen all year.

Rain is a scarce thing in West Texas, but if we got hail I did not see it.

Maybe I sould go look.

I used to have to reset my firewall after every update.
You might be better off using the ordinary viewer than the RC viewer.

Good idea. Could well be my router acting up. It's on a UPS along with the other computer equipment but still, it acts up for the strangest reasons

Success!
I'm in world again.
And damn does this new browser look wierd. Think I'll load the standard version tomorrow. I like the bottom bar and the color coded ";(no copy)" in the inventory list. The Communicate button is still there and "release Keys" still where the old Answer IM button was but I'm almost used to that by now anyway.
