Well if the grid went down (or part of it) wed have some serious issues.
If we got insanely lucky and it didn't, we wouldn't even notice they were gone.

It would be blissfully quiet. Sims would stop rolling, clouds would stay put, shadows would be back where they belong (in the real world) and all the stuff I lost trying to rez would come back to haunt me. Educators would leave in droves and go back to educating instead of studying us intently as a social experiment. Griefers would pound at our doors BUT we would have a neighbourhood watch. Sex would be healthily out in the open and on the rooftops instead of being driven underground in caves. It might turn into a party week coz we wouldn't take ourselves so seriously anymore.
