The lindens have a keyword filter inplace. Maybe you are trying to use one of the banned words.

Seriously, been through this about 20 times ... it will not let me list ... and there is nothing even remotely objectionable in the listing blurb :/

That's what it was for me..hope that helps.

I got that when I tried to paste the text from a word doc. When I retyped the description directly in the window, it went through.

Is it cos I am trying to use *~* ? For events that repeat, I like to write the event title and description in a Word file and save it so that I can just cut and past into the blocks on the create event page. Recently, though, when I paste text, I get that same error you saw and have to type the event description in from scratch. Annoying. Must be a formatting thing, but I have no idea what.

try cutting and pasting from a .txt file instead of a Word document. That has always worked for me.

It's usually the font in word that causes the problems. Courier might work fine but your safest bet is to use something like notepad.
