I was wondering if it was possible to buy an entire region (sim) not an island a sim from linden labs and not go thru a real estate agent in SL just to buy it out right from the lindens??? Get ready, cause they are going to flood the market with Fake-Estate.... 10 new Sims a day for 2 months Comming right up! plus Islands are getting Dirt Cheap. Anyone know why they are flooding the market with Land? Are they starting to act like a sleezy "I"-sland Baron that will do anything to get people to come and give them profit? maybe they can just give the land away and raise the tier fees. Are they desparate for more Tier Fees? I am curious what will happen to the people who are trying to sell their Land for 20+ Lindens/ SqM... |

It cannot be in anyway assumed or gauranteed that any savings will be gained. The auction start price is only being lowered and this is an auction, not a first come first served basis. So the price will be as high as the last persons maximum bid. |

So the price will be as high as the last persons maximum bid. But we all saw what happened to the land market the last time they were dumping 10 sims a day to auction. And that was without a simultaneous Island price cut and the ability to get a fresh island instantly--and maybe an OpenSpace sim or two. There's no guarantee, of course, but I'll take bets: the price trend will be downward. Steeply downward. |

I bet you would wait, your post *could be* misleading, although I do accept 'massive savings' might not be correct. |

you dont have to go through an auction.
in-world, open the search thingo and go to the land search tab. tick 'mainland only' and enter '>65,000m', then search. personally i would pay the $100/mo extra* and get an island. its less laggy and you have more control. not a little control, a lot more control. and with the latest announcement that islands will sell for $1000usd, mainland sims are looking very overpriced. its also worth noting that traditionally mainland sim auctions go to top dollar. paying $2,000usd for a mainland sim is pretty common. one advantage mainland does enjoy is the fact that it is relatively easy to unload if you want to drop tier for whatever reason. selling an island is more involved, and has many ethical pitfalls you wouldnt encounter on the mainland. *current monthly tier fees are $195usd for mainland sims, $295usa estate islands. I was wondering if it was possible to buy an entire region (sim) not an island a sim from linden labs and not go thru a real estate agent in SL just to buy it out right from the lindens??? |

We were Just wondering if you could buy right from the Lindens no auctions or anything...for us the price they ask for on a whole sim is a bit crazy,I mean 2 to 3 grand USD?.
And yes the prices are dropping..thats a good thing for some of us..but if ur trying to sell its not. Missy |

Sorry Dekka, how can this be misleading, its an auction! The highest bid wins, regardless of the start price it is how much someone is willing to pay. |
