Computor Freeze

I have an alt that i run on a second PC and have done for some time now. I often am logged in on both machines but only use my alt for testing etc. The last week i have had my second machine freeze quite regulaly to such an extent that i have no mouse or keyboard response and have to power down to switch off. My first machine is ok. I get the occassional "red map" on my first machine but i do not get it when i freeze on the second.
My first machine had XP with a Radion X1300 PRO Video Card and the second machine also runs XP with an NVIDIA GeForce 6800 GS/XT Video Card.

Anybody any idea what is going on.

ps, the second machine does not freeze at any other time.

You might want to check to make sure all your fans (cpu, gpu, case, etc) are running if you haven't already. Your PC may be overheating.

While you've got the case open might not hurt to take some canned air and blow out the dust from the cooling fins and the rest of the PC too.
