how do i rename my island (reigon)
Where it sais name: Harmony Isle, u cant type anything in... http://img263.imageshack.us/img263/3512/cantchangenamexf8.jpg it seems like the "text box" componant is missing from there, i know there is a way because the island i was on when i first joined SL changed name twice _____________________

Since it costs money to change the name of your island, I'm pretty positive you will have to go through LL to do it. I'm not sure how you'd go about that. Personally, I'd start by finding a Linden and asking them.

The effect even better because it was unintentional. well the thing is its allready got an established name of Felonhall City its a bit of a strange story, but it started on a mainland sim that was called Felonhall by default, then it was 2 laggy so moved 2 an island, and because i have a customerbase allready i didn't want 2 rename it. otherwise i'd have called it Harmony City,lol _____________________

Chaos, since you're not super new, I just wanted to mention that you could have found the answer to this by logging into the Support Portal and submitting a simple two word search ('rename island'):
CAN I RENAME MY PRIVATE REGION? Yes. There is a US$50 charge to rename your island. The new island name must fall under the same guidelines: * No more than 3 words * A total of more than 3, but less than 20 characters, including the spaces * Only alphanumeric characters; no punctuation please * Not already in use * Do not use the names of real-world cities and towns * Cannot use "SL," "Second Life," "Linden Lab" or "LL" or other wording that could give the impression of direct association with Linden Lab * Must be PG To get the process started, submit a support ticket stating that you would like to change the name, and that you accept the fee. Private Region names are granted at the sole discretion of Linden Lab. I know people have said in the past that it's 'easier' to just come here, but given there are more words in the post title than I used to search, I find that difficult to believe. I'm not saying that you shouldn't ask your questions here, just that it wouldn't hurt to try to find the answers for yourself first. You can rename it to a certain extent.
Cut a very small parcel somewhere in the sim, and make that your central hub, or teleport landing point, or info point, whatever. You can then give that tiny plot, and the remaining large plot a parcel name. It could look something like this. Harmony Isle, <23,34,23>, If you believe that..ahahaha.. Or whatever you choose. Have fun |
