Possible Grieffer Attack?

Just a quick question, my friend is very worried - she received a note-card, from someone claiming that some bad things are happening in their new relationship - thing is the note-card properties have no owner/creator listed - and the note card won't shut down off her screen.

Could this be a bot ? - she is nervous about re-logging in case it is an inventory bot of sorts.

Any advice would be grateful as soon as possible

I don't think there's any such thing as a bot that can be transfered within SL..

/me votes for her to relog. If she's really, really worried, she should also filter inventory on 'worn' and detach anything she's not absolutely sure she wants to be wearing when she relogs.

Nope. A bot is an avatar, run using a special client. It's not possible to give bots via inventory, or anything like that. At worst it would be a scripted object, but if it's a notecard that's also not possible - only prims can be scripted.

If it is indeed a notecard, then it's probably a bug, if it won't close. I really don't know what to say beyond that. Relog, clear cache, etc.

That doesn't sound like a notecard; it sounds like a HUD that she is wearing, sticking to her screen display. Did she attach an object that she was given? Have her try removing all attachments and removing all HUD attachments too.

The note-card vanished from her screen a little while ago. Then she also had database issues like going all black when she changed clothes.

All signs point to SL glitch... lol - mystery resolved
