Hi,
I did manage to create an alt a few weeks ago, and I am hoping to have a specified icon for each person involved. My RL cousin moved into my residence two weeks ago, and he got into SL recently.
What I am wondering is, how do I set up each desktop icon so that those specific icons are for each of us, so that when we log on, we just click the icon, and just simply enter our passwords without having to key in our usernames?

Add to the shortcut targets
-login Avatar Name
e.g.
"C:\Program Files\SecondLife\SecondLife.exe" -login Danielle Hancroft

If yuo are using Windows just setup user accounts for each user. That will separate each icon when one of you into your user account.

What I suggest is to create a shortcut to the secondlife application and in the target field change it from the original: From: someone "C:\Program Files\SecondLife\Secondlife.exe" to the following: From: someone "C:\Program Files\SecondLife\Secondlife.exe" --login FIRSTNAME LASTNAME PASSWORD --autologin That will make it so that when you open that shortcut it will automatically login on the account you designate in the shortcut. NOTE: This is not a secure method as anyone using your computer or who has access to where this icon is can use it to login to SL as well as making the password available if they view the properties tag.If your paranoid about security like I am with most fo my accounts I'd suggest just using: From: someone "C:\Program Files\SecondLife\Secondlife.exe" --login FIRSTNAME LASTNAME which should just autofill those fields.
