I just received a message that one of my items was sold by Xstreet SL. Having never heard of Xstreet SL, that caught me off-guard. I had no idea SLexchange was changing its name. Here's the scoop: http://www.xstreetsl.com/modules.php?name=Forums&file=viewtopic&t=66541

Mmhmms, it was announced a few weeks ago on their blog, what caught me off guard today though was not staying logged in there anymore, until I realized I had to update to allow the new URL to store cookies, hee..

Yeah change sucks, yeah the name is a little awkward.. But we all eventually got used to OnRez.. and at least XStreet does have some tie-in to their avatar "Exchange Street" (not to be confused with "Exchange Streeter" The logo looks fine, and as it coincides with some other planned changes to their "product".. I think it's a good time to make the switchover. And since LL forced it on them (and Apotheus DID try to get a license to keep the name "SLExchange" .. honestly, it could have been worse. I re-bookmarked today, and I even went through some of the documentation pages and reported some "name changes" that were missed. I was honestly surprised at how few there were. Honestly, I think the changeover will be pretty seamless.. unlike when SLBoutique became OnRez, and everything changed overnight.

I had a post here awhile back about the upcomming change, guess you missed it
did not get a large response
when I see the name xstreet, I think cross street, not X street
who else sees it as cross street?

who else sees it as cross street? Well, I do NOW. It's sort of like that secret symbol in the FedEx logo. I went happily along for years without seeing it. Then, once I noticed it, now I can't look at the danged logo without focusing on it. Cross Street, Cross Street, Cross Street I am going to call it that from now on.

In Jack in the Box, logo the ox is connected making it look the Jesus fish you see on so many cars these days. Does that make their corporate name actually Jack in the B'jesus?
