Please help me if you can. I had a bunch of stuff auto returned from my island today and when i tried to re rez the items which were all bunched together and listed in my inventory under the last item i put out which was a tree, it says unable to rez due to not being parcel owner, which i am. I took it other places and tried to open it up to save my 60 items inside and everywhere go tells me you cannot create plants here
Any way this can be sorted ???????

You probably have at least a couple of Linden Plants in that conglomerated mess. You'll need to go somewhere that you can both rez a prim and create a Linden one-prim plant. Then if the parcel is big enough and has enough prims free, you can re-rez the stuff there, and sort the mess out.

I'm at the boring place now, but if you haven't found a spot to rez your stuff within 6 hours, IM me inworld and I'll change my parcel setting to let you sort it out.

Yep that happens. There are silly rules about who can rez linden trees. One has to own the land or have the rights via group roles on group land to plant trees =/
It sounds like your items have been returned coalesced with these sort of trees. It is very common and easy to fix. =)
You just need some land big enough both in space and prims with the correct permissions. You will(i think) need to do this at ground level, also due to these trees.
Depending on the size of the returned items, I may have enough space and can fiddle with the group roles. IM me inworld if You need some space to fix things. =)
Silly thing this linden tree permissions thing, I am unsure why the "gardener block" is even there.

From: Alisha Matova Silly thing this linden tree permissions thing, I am unsure why the "gardener block" is even there. Wherever a specific stupid rule exists, it has a 80% chance to have been instituted to stop a specific griefing strategy. In this particular case, I expect that this is because Linden plants are very big objects that can be easily used to create an encroachment situation if they can be planted by non-owner on a rez-ok parcel so that they stick through a house on a neighboring parcel. Limiting the number of gardeners conserves the blame.

Would a sandbox help?

I've seen a bunch of these "coalesced with Linden Plants" questions lately... I'm not a computer person, but wouldn't it be possible to check whether a plant is coalesced with other objects, and make it rezzable in sandboxes if it is? Like some sort of cross-check in the database? Like I said, I know next to nothing about it.

Pleasant - definitely not. For example, how does a sim server know it's a sandbox? What if someone coalesces a forest and rezzes it in a shop?

From: Blot Brickworks Would a sandbox help? No Sand boxes will not let you rez Linden plants. *I was going to say, it is silly because they made the plants, but- Some sandbox places are not owned by Lindens. All so confusing as to why public sand box areas will not allow that. Anyway.. Just Second life..

Any way this can be sorted ??????? Good description of the problem, but in the future, to aid in people skimming subjects, a better subject line would have been "Problem rezzing Linden trees." Begging and pleading and ALLCAPS are great ways to get helpful people ignore your thread.

Flag trees to never coalesce with normal prims?
09-25-2008 18:32
I think it would be easier to flag the trees to never coalesce with other prims. If a parcel is returned You get some trees coalesced in one pile and the normal prims in another. Since the trees are flagged oddly already, i would hope this would be easy to do.

How about not returning coelesced objects at all? Return a folder of separate objects.

From: Lee Ponzu How about not returning coelesced objects at all? Return a folder of separate objects. But then their relative positions would be lost. If they weren't linked for whatever reason, ew...

From: Oryx Tempel I third this motion. JIRA it! OK =) I put my suggestion out there. Not completely sure it is the right answer, but something needs to be changed with Linden tree permissions/flags. http://jira.secondlife.com/browse/SVC-3136

I really can't see the reason for the Landscaping restriction. As mentioned earlier most restrictions come from prior grief, but i can not remember being attacked by foliage at any point.
It may be easier to remove that restriction all together...rather than add more confusion to the return process.

and once the trees thing get sorted, pray for your coalesced objects having less than 1024 scripts, or things might continue screwy

I haven't tried this, but the idea comes to mind while reading. What would happen if you created a box and transferred the objects into it from inventory? I think I recall you they seperate when doing this as you can't box them up joined?
